1. Information We Collect

ShareWifi is designed to work with minimal data collection. Here's what we access:

• Wi-Fi Network Information: Network name (SSID) and password are accessed locally on your device to generate QR codes. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
• Device Information: Basic device info (model, OS version) for crash reporting and app compatibility.
• Usage Analytics: Anonymous app usage statistics (features used, session duration) to improve the app experience.
• Location Data: Only when explicitly granted by you, used for Wi-Fi network discovery as required by Android OS. We do not track or store your location.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers unless you voluntarily contact support.
• We do not store Wi-Fi passwords on any server. All QR generation and scanning happens locally on-device.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, files, or messages.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide core app functionality (Wi-Fi sharing via QR code)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• To display relevant advertisements (via Google AdMob)
• To send push notifications about app updates (via OneSignal), only if you opt in

4. Third-Party Services

ShareWifi integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

5. Data Security

Wi-Fi credentials shared via ShareWifi QR codes are encrypted using AES-256 encryption. The encrypted data can only be decoded by the ShareWifi app. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect any data processed by the app.

6. Children's Privacy

ShareWifi does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data to retain. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 14 months for trend analysis, after which it is automatically deleted.

8. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA & Global)

Regardless of your location, you have the right to:

• Access — Request what data we have about you (minimal to none)
• Deletion — Request deletion of any data associated with you
• Opt-out — Disable analytics and personalized ads from device settings
• Portability — Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw Consent — Revoke permissions anytime from Android Settings

9. International Data Transfers

ShareWifi is available globally. Third-party services (Google, Firebase) may process anonymous data in countries outside your residence. These services comply with applicable data protection frameworks including EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
