Is ShareWifi really free? +
Yes! The core app is completely free. Wi-Fi sharing via QR code, auto-connect, and all basic features are free forever. We may offer optional premium features in the future.
Is my Wi-Fi password safe? +
Absolutely. Your Wi-Fi password is encrypted with AES-256 encryption inside the QR code and can only be decoded by the ShareWifi app. The password is never sent to any server — everything happens locally on your device.
Does the other person need ShareWifi to connect? +
For the best experience, yes. The encrypted QR code is designed to be read by ShareWifi for secure auto-connect. Standard QR code readers won't be able to decrypt the password.
Which Android versions are supported? +
ShareWifi works on Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above. For the best auto-connect experience, Android 10+ is recommended.
How do I report a bug? +
Email us at info@sharewifi.in with your device model, Android version, and a description of the issue. Screenshots or screen recordings help a lot!
Is ShareWifi available on iOS? +
Currently, ShareWifi is available only on Android via Google Play. iOS version is being considered for future development.
