• Wi-Fi and Device Information: WifiShare accesses nearby Wi-Fi Direct devices, network names (SSID), and connection status to enable device-to-device communication and hotspot sharing. This data stays on your device.
• Location Permission (Required for Wi-Fi Direct): Android requires Location permission to perform Wi-Fi Direct discovery and detect nearby devices.
  We do not track, store, or collect your physical location.
• Camera Access: Used only to scan QR codes for quick device connection.
  No photos or videos are captured, saved, or uploaded.
• Local VPN / Proxy Service Data: WifiShare uses a local-only VPN tunnel to route traffic between connected devices.
  We do not monitor, log, store, or transmit any browsing or network activity.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous analytics data (such as feature usage and crash reports) to improve app performance and reliability. This data does not identify you.
• Advertising Data: AdMob may collect device identifiers for delivering personalized or non-personalized ads. Users can choose to disable ad personalization from their Google account.
• Notification Data: WifiShare uses OneSignal and Firebase Cloud Messaging to send optional notifications. No personal data is collected or shared.

How We Use Information

Information is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app, including:

• Discovering nearby devices using Wi-Fi Direct
• Creating or joining a hotspot for Wi-Fi sharing
• Maintaining a secure local VPN/proxy session
• Scanning QR codes for fast device pairing
• Improving app performance through anonymized analytics

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Some third-party SDKs (AdMob, Firebase, OneSignal) may process limited device data as part of their service, under their own privacy policies.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. All Wi-Fi Direct communication and VPN routing occurs locally on your device without external servers.

Children’s Privacy

WifiShare is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
