This Privacy Policy explains how ShareWifi, operated by One91 Network Pte. Ltd., handles information when you use our application. Your privacy is important to us, and ShareWifi is designed so that your Wi-Fi sharing and routing happen locally on your device.

Information We Collect

Network & Connection Data: ShareWifi uses Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and location permissions strictly to discover nearby devices, create or join hotspots, and manage local connections. This information is used on-device and is not transmitted to us.
Analytics Data: We may collect anonymous analytics data (such as feature usage and crash reports) to improve app performance and reliability. This data does not identify you.
Advertising Data: AdMob may collect device identifiers for delivering personalized or non-personalized ads. Users can choose to disable ad personalization from their Google account.
Notification Data: ShareWifi uses OneSignal and Firebase Cloud Messaging to send optional notifications. No personal data is collected or shared.

How We Use Information

Information is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app, including:

Discovering nearby devices using Wi-Fi Direct
Creating or joining a hotspot for Wi-Fi sharing
Maintaining a secure local VPN/proxy session
Scanning QR codes for fast device pairing
Improving app performance through anonymized analytics

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Some third-party SDKs (AdMob, Firebase, OneSignal) may process limited device data as part of their service, under their own privacy policies.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. All Wi-Fi Direct communication and VPN routing occurs locally on your device without external servers.

Connection Audit Logs

When you use ShareWifi as a Host (sharing your internet), the app maintains connection audit logs locally on your device only. These logs include:

MAC address of connected devices
Assigned local IP address (e.g., 192.168.49.x)
Connection and disconnection timestamps
Session duration
Data usage per session

These logs are stored in the app’s local database for up to 90 days and are automatically deleted thereafter. They are never transmitted to any external server. The purpose of these logs is to assist hosts in maintaining records of network usage for safety and compliance with local regulations.

Children’s Privacy

ShareWifi is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Legal Compliance

All connection audit logs are stored exclusively on the host user's device. ShareWifi does not operate any servers that collect, store, or have access to these logs.

It is the host's responsibility to preserve and secure these records in compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on this page.
